Success Story
WALLACE J.
Beavercreek, Ohio
Roux-en-Y Surgery Patient
(April, 2007)
Has lost almost 90 lbs. after 1 ½ years
Wallace admits he was miserable before New Life bariatric surgery. He had trouble breathing. He couldn’t walk because he tired easily. His blood sugar was erratic and at times dangerous. He continually ate because he always seemed hungry.
Like so many New Life patients, Wallace’s attempts to lose weight included eating less, but that didn’t work for him. He tried to exercise, but fatigue and pain stood in the way. Fearful of an early death, Wallace decided to undergo weight-loss surgery.
Wallace had surgery in the spring of 2007. Today, he eats less, has lots of energy with no problem breathing and is able to exercise. Most important, he is off most of his chronic obstructive pulmonary and diabetes medications and his blood sugar is under control.
“Having weight loss surgery has changed my life. It really works and is great for your health. I’d probably be dead by now if I hadn’t done it.”Wallace
